Jennifer Salke serves as head of Amazon MGM Studios. In her role, she oversees all aspects of series and film development, production, acquisitions, theatrical distribution, marketing creative and the U.S. Licensing Team. After Amazon Studios And MGM Studios were integrated in november 2022, Salke was elevated to the helm of the combined studio, which continues to focus on crafting the highest quality movies and series for amazon’s customers and consumers worldwide.

Over the past two decades, Salke has established herself as one of the most prolific executives in the industry. During her tenure at Amazon MGM Studios, the studio has released hit series such as Reacher, The Terminal List, Emmy winner The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Emmy nominee Jury Duty, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Emmy nominee The Boys and spinoff Gen V, Emmy nominee Daisy Jones & the Six, and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, in addition to high-profile films such as Oscar nominee American Fiction, AIR, Saltburn, Creed III, Shotgun Wedding, The Tomorrow War, Coming 2 America, Oscar winner Sound of Metal and Golden Globe winner Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. Also under Salke’s leadership, Amazon MGM Studios created the entertainment industry’s first Inclusion Policy and Playbook and standardized diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) into its greenlight process. She also signed the ReFrame agreement, supporting a formal action plan to further gender parity in the media industry.

Prior to Amazon, Salke was a major force behind some of television’s most successful comedy and drama series, including This Is Us, Modern Family, The Blacklist, Superstore and The Good Place, as well as Dick Wolf’s hugely successful Chicago franchise. Most recently, Salke served as president of NBC Entertainment for seven years, where she was responsible for comedy and drama development, current programming, casting and diversity programming initiatives, as well as the entirety of Universal Television operations. Prior to NBC Entertainment, Salke served as executive vice president of creative affairs at Twentieth Century Fox Television, after joining Twentieth Century Fox as senior vice president of drama development in 2002. Salke began her career at Aaron Spelling Productions in the early 1990s.

A member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Salke is also a board member for the Los Angeles chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters, and acts as an ambassador for the nonprofit Operation Smile.

Bert Salke is the founder of Co-Lab21. The production company, which is under a multi-year overall producing deal with Disney Television Studios, is behind the hit Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians, which just scored a season two renewal, and ABC’s Alaska Daily, starring Hilary Swank.

An established executive in network, cable and streaming television, Salke previously served as president of Touchstone Television (formerly fox21 ) for a decade, where he oversaw development and production. During his tenure, the studio produced the Emmy Award-winning series Homeland, as well as Genius, Queen of the South, The Chi, Sons of Anarchy, and The Old Man. Also under his leadership, the studio produced the FX co-productions The Americans and Mayans M.C., in addition to the critically acclaimed Ryan Murphy Television series American Crime Story, Pose, and Feud. Additionally, Salke has a proven track record of success on the creative side of the business, with previous experience as a creator, showrunner and executive producer via his Brancato/Salke Productions banner with former partner Chris Brancato. Salke began his career at Fox Broadcasting and Lorimar.
