Jocelyn Cooley, C-suite human resources (HR) and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) executive, brings over 20 years of experience in increasingly responsible HR and DEI positions. She has in-depth experience in DEI from multiple perspectives, including workforce, workplace and marketplace.
Ms. Cooley is principal of Consulting Corp., where she provides executive coaching and strategic DEI and HR support. She was previously senior vice president of HR for Viacom Media Networks. She was the lead HR business partner and generalist for the Strategic Services Groups and Viacom’s Premium Subscriber Network. Ms. Cooley also led Viacom’s global recruitment and executive search functions and was responsible for workforce DEI goals, metrics and reporting.
Previously, she was senior vice president of talent management at BET Networks, also a Viacom Network, where she led the talent management function, including talent acquisition, diversity sourcing and hiring, leadership and employee development and succession planning. She was also the senior strategic HR business partner in transforming BET’s approach to human capital management.
Before Viacom, Ms. Cooley ran her own HR advisory and consulting practice focused on organizational design, leadership development and executive search in consumer goods and media and entertainment.
Previously, Ms. Cooley was director of staffing/recruitment at Cole Haan (previously a wholly owned Nike, Inc. subsidiary). She was a key member of the Nike’s HR leadership team, and was responsible for the strategic direction, development and implementation of the overall staffing model and solutions.
Prior to joining Cole Haan, Ms. Cooley managed corporate recruitment in Time Warner’s Worldwide Recruitment & Executive Search department and at AOL in the Executive Search department.
Ms. Cooley was a member of the Board of Directors for Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), focused on advancing diversity and equity for women in the cable industry. She participated in the annual Senior Executive Summit at Stanford University, developed by WICT in partnership with Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. Ms. Cooley supported the Friends of Education of the Museum of Modern Art committee, which is responsible for ensuring representation of diverse artists at the museum.
