Selected Achievements

  • Under the Maternal and Child Survival Program, a study led by Jhpiego identified significant opportunities to improve gestational age estimation and use of antenatal care health information for pregnant women, thereby improving the quality of care.

Our Projects

Strengthening Primary Health Care

  • We support Cambodia in integrating mental health within primary health systems, developing curricula for frontline health providers and community leaders, strengthening referral pathways, and building capacity across national and sub-national levels. This is particularly valuable for trauma-informed maternal care in alignment with Cambodia’s health priorities.

  • Jhpiego convenes mental health nonprofit implementers in Cambodia to work together with the Ministry of Health and is strengthening the quality of the existing health care mechanisms.

Improving Access to Lifesaving Health Services

MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership

  • Funded by the United States Government, MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership, is a global mechanism that saves lives and improves access to quality, integrated health services by distributing life-saving commodities, medicines, and vaccines, and providing critical health care services for pregnant mothers and children under five. The project provides safe childbirth for mothers and babies, vaccinates children, treats deadly illnesses and malnutrition, and controls disease outbreaks.

"Together with the Ministry of Health and local partners, we strengthen Cambodia’s health systems from the ground up. We update national guidelines, build capacity for government health workers, strengthen referral pathways, link local health facilities with community leaders, improve data quality at both national and sub-national levels, and create space for compassionate, community-based care."
